MISSIONARIES MULTIPLIED

It has been a crazy YEAR. It has almost been a year since Summer unexpectedly passed away. We have enjoyed spending time with the babies. They are growing so fast. Spencer is a year now and Sophia is three. Stan is doing well. It is tough to be a single dad. But we are very proud of him. Stacey Hatch is also doing much better and the kids have been back home with her since December. Again being a single mom is very commendiable.

In April we were able to get Jake into the mission field. He is in his second area training a new companion and doing really well. We are VERY proud of him and can hardly believe it has been six months already.

Mom passed away in May and its October. Finally both headstones for Summer and Mom have been ordered. I am worried they will not get set before bad weather flies. But at least they are ordered and will definitely make it in the ground.

In July Denton was called to be the Bishop of the Tremonton 10th Ward. He is doing such a great job. I am very proud of his obedience and service towards others. And yet he continually puts us FIRST. And never complains.

In September Jayci received her mission call to Ohio Cleveland Ohio Mission and she will also be serving in the Kirtland Visitors Center. We are very excited for her. She was able to attend the temple for the first time on October 19, 2010. It was a great day we enjoyed sharing it with her. It is very pleasing to know that two of your children have lived worthy enough to enter through the doors of the temple and can make covenants with their Heavenly Father in preparation of Eternal Marriage.

Shanade is cruising through her cosemetology classes. She is working hard to be more and more responsible each day. Bailey and Kaleb are looking forward to another ski season at the canyons. All of my kids are growing too fast. They are making great choices and doing great things.

We have been blessed to have the Local Missionaries in our home. They continually bring a spirit and energy that bring joy and happiness I am sincerely grateful for the missionary program in the church. I am preparing to pass my PLM exams for the office. It has caused alot of extra stress along with everything else. I know it will be worth it in the end.

July is Here

I am ready for a NEW start. We have had so many great events and some very life changing events over the past few months. But we will start again in July and move forward.

Jayci is enjoying her summer job in Rexburg. She is an AFY counselor. Which is a youth program Adventures for Youth. Kids ages 14-18 attend a week long camp where they have many activities, dances, firesides, ropes climbing courses and river rafting. This is such an ideal job for Jayci. She is such a great roll model to so many around her. We have planned a FUN trip to the Sand Dunes where we will get to meet several of her other counselors she has been working with. Jayci also plans to come home in August and start preparing for a mission.

Jake is serving in the Florida Tampa Mission. He is also adapting really well. The heat is unbearable for some. But he is enduring it quite nicely. He is also experiencing some amazing rainstorms. It is hurricane season so I watch the weather reports closily in hopes that he will not have to endure any dangerous situations. Today his NEW mission president Bruce Summerhays entered the MTC. I am not sure when the Summerhays' will make it into the mission field. I believe this will be an adjustment and he will be able to learn so much from them. He is falling in love with many people.

Shanade is working at Mack's Drive In in town. She is also working to get some extra credits over the summer so that she can spend more time at Bridgerland her senior year. This will allow her to complete a degree there sooner and allow her to also spend more time working. She is an amazing young lady that is becoming very responsible. Shanade has a passion for life. Her happiest moments are when she is BUSY. She is a great leader and has been such a blessing to have in our home. She spends alot of time helping me with Sophia and Spencer.

Kaleb is also trying to spend some time in the workplace. His aunt Holly has kept him busy doing projects, he is working part time at Dominoes, works helping the neighbors with different projects and hauling hay. He is very passionate about his 4 wheeler. He loves spending time in the garage working with his dad. There isn't anything they can't tackle. Kaleb truly enjoys taking things apart and fixing them. He loves to know how they work. When the snow comes he will be back on the mountain doing what he loves best.

Bailey is 13 and a definite teenager. Friends keeping moving our of her life. Circumstances take their families away and she misses them. But her love for her cousins has blessed their lives. she loves babysitting. Her biggest diappointment is that her parents do not share her LOVE in horseback riding. Its not that we do not want to support her. It is just an area we are not ready or prepared to invest in. We are very grateful to neighbors that help by allowing her to tag along.

Our life is never boring there is always something big in the works. We have come to accept that this is the NORM. I think that is the best way to describe and tackle it. We have been blessed to have Denton's sister Patty move into the apartment. She is such an amazing lady. The kids truly enjoy having her grandkis around that gives us more time with them. She is a really asset and blessing to us along with so many others in our life. We love and appreciate family and their support.

I am gonna give it a shot..... thanks Ali

I figure updating my blog after only 13 days isn't too bad. Girls weekend at the cabin was just what I needed. I am so blessed to have such an amazing family. Cousins by the dozen is such a blessing. And they even teach you good things like how to read owners manuals, climb snowy hills and turn off ABS systems.

Thanks ladies for all of the hugs and fabulous words of encouragement.

2009 Thanksgiving was great. It has been a while since my family has had the opportunity to see many of their cousins. Kathy and Sharee you did a great job. The only think missing was Newspaper ads spread out all over the floor. Thank goodness Deanna helped me keep up the tradition at Gma's later in the evening.

Jenny I still have no clue what the scoop is with Zhu ZHU pets but I know that I spent about $350, froze my toes off and loved every minute of it. And I was especially proud of my girls (and Skyler) for braving the crowds and weather. They are pro's even though they are newbies. Bailey wishes we lived closer to family so we could spend more time with them. I have to agree.

Blindside is a must see. It was fun to spend the afternoon with Holly, Gma, Gpa and Uncle Dan. Lunch at Olive Garden (always a family favorite) and a good movie. then to top it all of chilling in the hot tub. Ordering Pizza into the hotel and resting up for the BIG party in Park City. I love the time with family.

All while the boys are at home HARD at work. I am so blessed that Denton is a work horse. He never stops. I encouraged a weekend of being LAZY for him. But I don't ever see that happening.
